Project outline

The Gatehouse Chambers Art Programme supports emerging artistic talent, providing recent graduates from Camberwell College of Arts, University of the Arts London (UAL), with a unique platform to showcase their work in a professional setting.

Each year, Gatehouse Chambers, a leading barristers’ chambers selects artists to exhibit work in the firm’s London offices. The work is chosen from our BA Fine Art: Drawing, BA Fine Art: Painting, BA Fine Art: Photography and BA Fine Art: Sculpture courses.

Project outcome

Each artist receives a financial award and the opportunity to display their work at Gatehouse Chambers London office for 1 year. Alongside the exhibition, the chambers host events and discussions inspired by the work.

The programme offers early-career artists valuable professional exposure and the chance to connect with new audiences. The work enriches the chambers’ day-to-day surroundings with fresh perspectives and ideas.

This initiative offers our graduates one of their first professional opportunities, with work selected directly from their final degree show. It provides invaluable insight into the relationships and processes involved in working with clients. The resulting exhibition introduces these emerging artists to a completely new audience.
