Fashion Design Concept to Final Design Presentation Sheet Short Course
Course description
Course overview
This two-day course is designed for working fashion designers, fashion students and creative practitioners who already have a basic understanding of fashion design and want to strengthen their design development and presentation skills to communicate ideas professionally and confidently.
Working through a professional fashion design workflow, you’ll work on developing a concept from initial research and visual inspiration through to a polished portfolio presentation sheet.
Each day you’ll undertake a tutor-led workshop, with practical exercises and feedback to present your final ideas, design vision and process. Along the way, you’ll explore silhouette development, colour application, fashion illustration, technical communication and presentation techniques. You’ll explore design content and create a concept and 'Croquis rough' (quick sketch) for your sketchbook.
This course will challenge you to think outside the box and experiment with new ideas and techniques to build on and develop your style and portfolio.
This course is available to study both online and on campus. The price and duration vary depending on the mode of study, allowing you to choose the option that best fits your schedule and preferred learning style:
