Creative CLO3D for Absolute Beginners Online Short Course

Course description

The Creative CLO3D for Absolute Beginners Online Short Course is designed to offer an immersive introduction to digital garment visualisation using CLO3D. The course explores how the software can inform design processes and shape the development of digital garments, from initial concepts to final presentations.

This course empowers students to design creatively, providing foundational skills to create their own bespoke avatars, explore digital textiles, and build garments from scratch. In addition to general garment creation, we will cover the making of unique details such as custom trims, beads, hardware, laces, prints, sequins, tapes, and even branding products featuring your own logo. By the end of this journey, students will have the confidence to experiment with CLO3D as a tool for creative expression, developing skills that are transferable to a variety of industries.

The program emphasises hands-on learning, encouraging students to create their own designs. Students will also explore specialised techniques such as creating quilted or inflatable garments and intricate fabric texturing, allowing them to bring unique details to their pieces.

Each participant will finish the course with a digital design, presented on a virtual turntable or digital catwalk, and gain insights into sharing and potentially monetising their creations online.
