Joining us for our final Origins Creatives 2021 workshop is renowned textile fibre brand, The Woolmark Company.

The Woolmark Company is a not-for-profit organisation, working alongside Australia’s 60,000 woolgrowers to research, develop and design with Australian Merino wool. They encourage and unite the entire supply chain, from the farm through to loyal consumers, to adopt natural ingredients for a more sustainable future. They use Merino wool for its 100% natural, renewable and biodegradable properties, and ability to offer a natural solution to the global apparel and footwear industry.

As a brand, they focus on:

  • Connecting, inspiring and educating
  • Guaranteeing wool fibre quality
  • Collaborating with like-minded brands
  • Championing the wool fibre's eco-credentials

Creating environmentally friendly fashion is at the forefront of The Woolmark Company's work. In their Origins Creatives 2021 workshop, they'll be giving you, UAL Awarding Body students, the chance to find out about exciting careers in designing for future fashion and planet wellbeing.

Join Sheila-Mary Carruthers, an experienced design-led practitioner who has worked across the global supply chain and supported countless industry projects to raise awareness of wool’s benefits and its contribution to planet health. Sheila-Mary looks to inspire YOU, the next generation of creative thinkers, through her knowledge of the innovative use of wool.
