Cecelia Morgan is completing BA Graphic Design Communication this June. She talks to us about her latest projects, redefining the modern heroine and making the most of being a student.
Hi Cecelia, where are you from?
Harrogate, England.
Describe your experience at Chelsea in three words
Challenging, exploratory, frustrating.
Tell us about what you are working on for your final show
Tales of a Modern Princess, a project based on three classical characters who have been plonked into modern society as millennials; naturally everything goes very wrong for them.
What has been your greatest challenge so far in working towards the degree show?
Narrowing down my favourite images!
What do you see yourself doing after you graduate, what are your career ambitions?
I would love to be a Creative Director, coming up with ideas for shoots and bringing them to life!
What have you most enjoyed about studying at Chelsea?
Expanding my practice. Having the tools to improve is pretty awesome.
What have you most enjoyed about the area around Chelsea? Any tips?
Tate Modern.
What would you say to someone who is thinking about doing your course? Any advice?
Make the most of everything, including the tutors, the facilities, even if it seems as though you don’t have time, make time.
