MA Graphic Design Communication students have been very busy in the last few months preparing for their Work in Progress show. It will be opening to industry this evening and then to the public tomorrow and Thursday. A showcase of their projects at a specific point in time, it’s an opportunity to take a look at developments and witness the unfolding of their work, to catch a glimpse of our process and possibly even influence their next steps.

The work will include a fascinating array of projects by this international set of designers, such as Jenn Martin’s Mutual Surveillance project described in her own words “We live in a culture of mutual surveillance via the monitoring of each others’ lives and sharing of information on social media. A large part of my research and projects involve the effects of this global behavior—how it affects relationships and how people respond to the existence of this surveillance lifestyle. My topic is complex and involves several main threads, outlined and interconnected here. These books are a collection of my insights.”

Located in the Cookhouse Gallery at Chelsea College of Arts (16 John Islip Road, London SW1P 4JU). Light refreshments will be served. Bring a guest (or two)! Feel free to let them know you’re attending, please visit the Facebook event page. For press or enquiries, email chelseamagdc2015@gmail.com
