Biography

Ramatoulie is the 20/20 Project Assistant. In her role she supports the ambitious 3-year programme, which brings together 20 emerging artists of colour with 20 UK public art collections, leading to new permanent acquisitions.

Ramatoulie graduated from Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, where she studied Drama, Applied Theatre and Education with a pathway in Writing for Performance. She then went on to complete MA Text and Performance, a collaboration between Birkbeck, University London and RADA. Her research interests include non-western forms of storytelling, Afrofuturism/Africanfuturism and diaspora identities.

Prior to UAL Ramatoulie worked at Battersea Arts Centre as Young People’s Producer where she planned and delivered programmes for young people aged 11 – 29 to explore various art forms including beatboxing, dance and producing. Before Battersea Arts Centre, she worked at Southbank Centre as an Executive Assistant and was one of the 2021 BFI Film Academy Young Programmers cohort.

In her spare time, she loves reading, podcasts and videogames.
