The Justice as Attitude Club (JAA) brings together designers, researchers and artists at UAL interested in exploring how fashion, ecology, technology, and futures thinking come together under the heading of justice, fostering honest dialogue, critical reflection, and creative action.
The focus of this group
The JAA club is for designers who are interested in radical design approaches and investigate how to change the fashion system.
We believe that fashion can do more, and better and that fashion education has great potential as a medium to implement justice and reinvent itself along the way.
Bring your questions, your projects and your thoughts to share and discuss.
We are asked to prioritize ethics and moral values in our daily conversations - but the fashion industry's complexities keep us repeating the same mistakes.
We need your voice to challenge the status quo and envision a future where creativity can support climate and social and technological justice and be fun at the same time.
We invite you to an honest dialogue, a critical examination, and a creative exploration.
Meeting format and planned activity
The Justice as Attitude Club meets once a term at the London College of Fashion Eastbank location, usually in the 10th floor canteen.
Activities usually include discussion, debate, and the recording of these for a dedicated podcast to share with others.
