Pre-sessional priority application discount

If you're planning to join a Pre-sessional English course at UAL in summer 2027, you could receive a £500 discount when you apply early through our priority application process.

Pre-sessional English courses are for international students who hold an offer to study a degree at UAL and need to meet their English language requirement. They provide you with a high level of support with academic and language skills and prepare you to succeed at UAL.

To qualify, you'll need to submit your Pre-sessional application by 2 April 2027 and meet all priority application requirements. This includes holding an offer for your main course, meeting the required English language level and submitting all required documents.

You'll also need to receive and accept your Pre-sessional offer and make full payment by the required deadlines.

Eligibility for the £500 priority application discount

Apply as early as possible to be considered for the £500 priority application discount.

To qualify, you must:

• submit a Pre-sessional application by 2 April 2027 (see How to apply for more information).
• have accepted an offer for your main programme.
• meet the required English language level for your Pre-sessional course.
• submit all required documents (including passport, under 18 form if applicable, immigration history form and any other requested documents).
• for 7 Week Pre-sessional On Campus applicants, pay the main programme deposit (combined CAS only).
• meet all general Pre-sessional eligibility requirements and receive a Pre-sessional offer by 9 April 2027.
• accept the Pre-sessional offer and make full payment within the  payment period stated in the offer letter and terms and conditions (see UAL Pre-sessional Terms and Conditions), and no later than 16 April 2027.

If you apply by 2 April 2027 but do not meet all priority application requirements by the relevant deadlines, we'll process your application through the standard Pre-sessional application route.

The 2 April 2027 deadline applies only to eligibility for the £500 discount. It is not the final deadline for Pre-sessional applications.

If you apply after 2 April 2027, or do not meet all priority application requirements by the relevant deadlines, we'll process your application through the standard application route. You won't be eligible for the £500 discount.

The standard application deadline for Pre-sessional English courses is 14 May 2027.

Applications received between 3 April and 14 May 2027 will also be processed through the standard application route.

In both cases, you won't be eligible for the £500 discount.
