Portland House is made up of 4 different 18th-century Grade II listed buildings and is in Camberwell, right on the doorstep of Camberwell College of Arts. The residence is exclusively for UAL students and is also within easy reach of London College of Communication and Chelsea College of Arts.
Situated on the Camberwell College campus grounds, Portland House is ideal for students seeking a campus-style living experience, with easy access to college facilities, as well as UAL canteens and cafés. Located alongside Gardens House, it offers a strong sense of student community and makes it easy to connect with others living nearby. The accommodation includes single and twin rooms, as well as self-contained studio flats. Flat clusters are shared between 2 to 11 students.
There’s a great mix of shops, cafés and restaurants nearby, along with cultural highlights such as South London Gallery and Rye Lane Market, all contributing to the area’s strong creative energy. Residents can also enjoy the gardens surrounding the building, as well as nearby green spaces including Burgess Park, Brunswick Park with its tennis courts, and Peckham Rye Common.
