Support for researchers
Access a wide range of support and resources for your research, on campus and online. Visiting PhD and other researchers should see the information for Alumni and Visitors.
The Research Network UAL (RNUAL) Programme
Supporting PhD students at UAL and affiliated institutions. Guidance on resources, referencing and publishing.
UAL Research Online (UALRO)
A free online collection of UAL research outputs, including PhD theses.
You can search the holdings of all of our libraries using the library catalogue, and in addition, find articles, e-journals and databases. Library staff can advise on supplying material through inter-library loans, or by directing to you to specialist collections outside of UAL.
Archives and Special Collections
The libraries hold special collections and archives that can inspire and inform your research. These are located in the University Archives and Special Collections Centre at the London College of Communication, as well as in the college libraries. You can also access collections that are in the colleges, LCF Archive, and the CSM Museum and Study Collection.
Academic Support Librarians are your first point of contact for research support in the College libraries. They can provide one to one support on using resources, and help you develop independent learning skills.
