Wimbledon Library service hours

The 1st floor of the library reopened on Monday 26 September. Work will continue through the Autumn term to expand the library on the ground and 2nd floors. These works are on schedule to be completed in January, but in the meantime, most of the collection will still be available, except for books shelved 770 to 999 and all DVDs. These will be temporarily stored in B15 on the ground floor.

Students can access them:

By request

  • using the library catalogue. Library staff will then retrieve the item for them to collect from the reservation shelves within 2-3 hours.
  • using a request slip (available at the information point) for reference items which cannot be taken out of the library.

By browsing

  • from 3 October, students can book a 30-minute slot to browse the collections held in room BG15. Students must book at the information point, then return to the point at their allotted time and library staff will give them access. Staff at the information point can help with queries.

Libraries and Learning Zones are open together with online enquiry services.
