UCAS Category Grouping List

As of June 2020, UAL Awarding Body’s qualifications have changed to now sit within category groupings on the UCAS Tariff. As it is the time of year when students are beginning their UCAS/university applications, we thought it would be a good idea to re-visit the way UAL Awarding Body categorises its qualifications on the UCAS Tariff Tables.
Our qualifications historically appeared as separate entries on the Tariff Tables and it was recommended to UAL Awarding Body by UCAS that we group our qualifications together under headings of qualifications of the same type, similar grading structures and Guided Learning Hours (GLH). For example, a Diploma or an Extended Diploma. This ensures UCAS Points are awarded to new qualifications as soon as possible and, in turn, supports learner progression onto Higher Education.
A new UCAS Guide is currently being produced as a user-friendly summary for you and your students to understand our qualification groupings in relation to awarded UCAS points.
This is the groupings overview:
UAL: Level 3 Diploma P/M/D
UAL: Level 3 Diploma P/HP/M/HM/D
UAL: Level 3 Extended Diploma P/M/D
UAL: Level 3 Extended Diploma P/HP/M/HM/D
