Qualification Wales Redesignation

We hope you have all had a great start to the new academic year. The UAL Awarding Body Qualifications Development team want to keep you updated on our qualifications offered in Wales. We are working closely with our Welsh regulator, Qualifications Wales, to ensure that our qualifications that are expiring on the register in February and August 2023 are extended/re-designated.

We are very close to finalising the approval of the extension for qualifications with an end date of March 2023. All qualifications with this expiry date have now been submitted to Qualifications Wales for extension. We are expecting the extension approvals to be completed within the next few weeks. This will mean that you can continue delivering these qualifications in the next academic year(s) provided that you are an UAL Awarding Body approved centre.

Re-designation means that, in the coming weeks, members of the UAL Awarding Body Qualifications Development Team will be contacting centres to secure letters of demand for these qualifications in order to satisfy regulatory submission conditions for Qualifications Wales. We are anticipating that re-designation by Qualifications Wales will occur in Spring 2023.

UAL Awarding Body greatly appreciates centre's co-operation and support in providing letters of demand as part of this regulatory process.

All centres delivering these qualifications will be updated once the extension/re-designated has been approved.
