The Type Case appeal terms and conditions

The Type Case offers a number of ways in which patrons can support UAL, with each tier (“Tier”) as described below.

Tiers available to individual patrons only:

LCC Creatives: Your nominated name featured on our ‘Wall of Support’, an installation that will be situated in the foyer of the new London College of Communication (LCC) rbuilding (the “Wall of Support”).

LCC Pioneers: Your nominated name featured on the Wall of Support and as a benefit, a limited-edition (run of two hundred) archive print of the London College of Printing (“LCP”) printed on LCP’s Heidelberg printer (the “LCP Print”).

Tiers available to both individual and corporate patrons:

The benefits of the following Tiers will include the LCP Print and a minimum of 2 invitations to the VIP opening reception of the new LCC building as well as any other benefits stated for the relevant Tier.

LCC Partners: Your nominated name or company name and up to six (6) additional names or fifteen (15) words of dedication to feature on the Wall of Support.

LCC Directors: Your nominated name or company name and up to ten (10) additional names or thirty (30) words of dedication to feature on the Wall of Support.

LCC Founders: Your nominated name or company name and up to twenty (20) additional names or fifty (50) words of dedication to feature on the Wall of Support and as an additional benefit, a minimum of 2 invitations to the LCC Founder’s dinner, a special evening for patrons who have made exceptional contributions to LCC.

Acknowledgements on the Wall of Support for LCC Partners, LCC Directors and LCC Founders patrons can also be dedicated to classes, for example, the “LCC Class of 2020”.

UAL reserves the right to update, withdraw or substitute Tiers, benefits and/or the pricing of The Type Case, at its sole discretion. For up-to-date pricing, please see The Type Case webpage.

Save for the ‘LCC Creatives’ Tier, each of The Type Case Tiers comprise:

• benefits (for example, invites to events and the LCP Print) (the “Benefits”); and
• a voluntary donation to UAL (the “Donation”).

Patrons may choose to purchase only the Benefits, without paying the Donation. However, as an exempt charity, UAL greatly appreciates all donations it receives and strongly encourages contributions that include the full Donation.

Benefits cannot be exchanged or refunded for cash value.

Payments made by individual patrons may be made as:

• a single payment; or
• 2 annual instalments.

Corporate patrons are not entitled to make payments in instalments.

Please note that due to our internal billing requirements, corporate patrons cannot make payment through our online system. Instead, we will send you a payment request, once we have processed your request to become a patron. Corporate patrons may make payment by bank transfer only. All payments must be made within thirty (30) days of the date of the payment request.

You will not be entitled to the Benefits until payment, or the first payment instalment, has been made in full. The Benefit value and applicable VAT shall be wholly included within the first payment instalment, where applicable. For individual patrons, payment may be made by card, bank transfer or cheque.

Where the name supplied by you for inclusion on the Wall of Support is that of a living person, you warrant that it is your own or you have permission for the use of the name, or in the case of corporate patrons, that you have authorisation for the corporate entity to be acknowledged in this way.

The formatting, placement and positioning of patron names and dedications on the Wall of Support is at UAL’s sole discretion.

UAL reserves the right to refuse any patron names or dedications for the Wall of Support, in its sole discretion.

UAL may withdraw patron recognition if, in the sole opinion of UAL, continued association with the patron is likely to harm its reputation or bring it into disrepute. In such an event, UAL shall not be obliged to return the Donation or refund the Benefits.

You are entitled to request anonymity or the removal of your name from the Wall of Support, and any other promotional materials. If you wish to do so, please contact the Development Team directly.

The Wall of Support remains the sole property of UAL and may be relocated or updated as part of future campus developments or as a result of damage to the Wall of Support.

UAL is entitled to uninvite, refuse or remove access to patrons or guests who, in UAL’s sole discretion, fail to adhere to reasonable standards of conduct.

There may be photography and/or videography at The Type Case events. If you prefer not to be photographed or recorded, please contact the Development Team.

Patrons must complete a valid Gift Aid declaration, if they wish UAL to claim Gift Aid. Gift Aid declarations are collected with the donation form.

Only the Donation amount, and not the Benefits value, is eligible for Gift Aid.

Patrons are responsible for informing UAL of any change in their tax status.

All Donations are non-refundable. Benefits are non-transferable.
