What would change if everyone understood the true scale of the climate and nature emergency?

Join UAL’s Climate Emergency Network for a special screening of The People’s Emergency Briefing, a powerful new film bringing together leading UK scientists and experts to explain the accelerating climate and nature crises, their implications for our lives, and the opportunities for urgent, collective action.

Presented by Chris Packham, the 50-minute film draws on a landmark briefing delivered to politicians and national leaders at Westminster in 2025. It explores the growing risks to food systems, public health, national security and the economy, alongside the solutions already within our reach.

But understanding the emergency is only the beginning.

Following the screening, we invite UAL staff and students to come together for discussion and collective reflection. What does this evidence mean for us as a university of artists, designers, educators and creative practitioners? How can we translate greater understanding into meaningful action within UAL, across the creative industries and beyond?

Whether you are already involved in climate action or are simply curious to learn more, this is an opportunity to hear the evidence, connect with others and explore the role of creative education, art and design practices in environmental crisis.
