Sustainable Fashion Styling Short Course

Course description

Interested in Sustainable Fashion Styling and regenerative storytelling, but don't know where to start? This course gives you the lowdown on how to style sustainably and ethically.

Through a mix of lectures, workshops and self-guided study, you will explore issues including where to shop and what brands to buy, through to how to craft stories with positive social and environmental impact, that celebrate not only ethics and aesthetics but also our emotional well being and relationship to the planet. You will investigate radical approaches including: regenerative fashion, the circular economy, degrowth, making, mending and never needing to buy anything ever again.

Whether you are a personal stylist, fashion or commercial stylist or simply keen to ditch fast fashion and overhaul your own shopping habits, this course will help you restyle your relationship with clothing.

At the end of the course you will have an understanding of the key issues of Sustainable, Ethical Fashion and the positive environmental and social impacts of styling and engaging with clothing this way. You will use your knowledge to curate a portfolio of looks for the purpose of either, developing your styling book or transforming your personal wardrobe.
