Course description

Course overview

Through a combination of lectures and practical exercises, this 5-week evening course guides students through the process of creating different styles of skirts and trousers from a size 12 block pattern.

During the course, students learn transferable pattern cutting techniques that will enable them to create their own styles. Students gain an insight into the creative process and explore how to pivot darts, insert pleats, yokes and gathers, and create a facing and a waistband pattern.

The course offers an exciting opportunity to learn key techniques. Students will be required to work for 3 hours outside of class to get the most out of the course.
