Course description

Course overview

This online course introduces students to professional 3D fashion design workflows used in the swimwear and lingerie industry. Students will design and develop digital garments using the professional version of STYLE 3D.

Access to the software is provided for the duration of the course. Students will work in a professional digital environment, simulating industry practice as if working within a fashion company. The course also introduces the use of AI tools to support research, design development, visualisation, and presentation to enhance both the creative process and the final outcome.

Students will aim to create either two complete coordinated 3D outfits (tops and bottoms) or a small cohesive capsule collection in 3D. Final outcomes will include high-quality rendered images of their designs presented on AI-generated models suitable for use in professional portfolios and social media presentation.

  • Identify and complete the stages of constructing a one piece and two-piece swimwear in 3D
  • Identify and complete the stages of constructing a soft lingerie bralette and bottoms in 3D
  • Use AI-supported tools to develop design concepts and enhance final visual outputs, including generating presentation-ready model imagery
  • Produce two complete coordinated 3D outfits (top and bottom) or a small cohesive soft lingerie/swimwear capsule collection, fully constructed and resolved in Style3D
  • Generate high-resolution rendered images of completed garments presented on AI-generated models, suitable for inclusion in a professional fashion portfolio
  • Demonstrate a professional digital workflow comparable to industry practice, working within the full-feature professional version of Style3D as used in fashion companies
  • Receive a digital badge and certificate of attendance
