Course description
If you are interested in starting a fashion business, want a glimpse of what happens behind the scene in the industry, or if you are thinking of building a career within it, then this course is a perfect introduction. Over two weeks you will explore the whole fashion supply chain, from manufacture to shop floor via suppliers and other middle men.
Who should take this course?
This course is for creative students who want to understand more about the fashion business sector.
There will be guest lecturers from industry, and visits to a factory, shops and relevant exhibition.
This course is just the start of your journey into the world of the fashion business. It will help you identify the areas that you would like to work in and open your eyes to roles within the fashion industry that you might not know exist.

Level: Beginners
(For the one week Easter dates; this course will be more of an overview covering each point but in less detail. It is intended as a truncated version of this course to offer a taster of the full course)

- As long as you attend a minimum of 80% of your classes, we will provide you with a certificate of attendance.

Topics covered
You will start by looking at what you need to develop your fashion business plan.
You will look at the operational side and begin to develop and understanding of different specialisms within the fashion industry and how they relate to the success of a business.
