Animation And Visual Effects Using Maya Short Course

Course description

This beginners course introduces anyone interested in learning 3D visual effects and animation to Maya, the industry standard software used in the Film, TV and Games Industries. It will give you a solid foundation in the core software tools to produce a short animated sequence.

There are a maximum of nine students enrolled on each session. This is to ensure that you get plenty of one-to-one tuition from your tutor and the class can work at a speed to suit the whole group.

Entry requirements: None. However, ideally students should have access to Maya software to practice outside class time. They may use the computers in the College's library and the Learning Zone (1st floor) for the duration of the course.

Level: Beginners

Clear, easy to understand lessons:

  • Our tutors will explain things in easy to understand, accessible English. If they need to use any special terminology they will make sure they explain what they mean.
  • New methods will be shown to students through live demonstrations, in a way that’s crystal clear and easy to understand.
