MENSTRual: An Event Highlight

Did you know people who menstruate use more than 11,000 disposable menstrual products in their lifetime?!

We want to help to break the Period taboo while introducing sustainable, affordable, environmentally friendly alternatives to mainstream period products.


Hosted by UAL Post-Grad CommunityMENSTRual is a 2-day student-led event programme aiming to celebrate and raise awareness of the environmenstrual movement. Browse stalls, listen to period empowered talks, get educated on eco-menstrual solutions, take part in a pad-making workshop or just come along for a free bloody goodie bag!

Day One

Tuesday, 3 March 2020 (12pm to 6pm)

In the RHS West Space at London College of Fashion, John Princes Street, W1G 0BJ

An afternoon of postgraduate student talks and shares in RHS West Space, at London College of Fashion. A showcase of inspiring students will be followed by a film screening on the internationally acclaimed film PAD MAN (watch the official YouTube trailer).

Day Two

Wednesday, 4 March 2020 (12pm to 4pm)

In The Street and Room D113 at Central Saint Martins, Kings Cross N1C 4AA

Join Post-Grad Community for a workshop to make your own sanitary towels. Make your own period tracking bracelet with The Rights Studio. Talk Periods with charity Bloody Good Period who provide Menstrual supplies for asylum seekers and refugees. Explore reusable sanitary products with specialist ethical retailer ECO Dreams offering earth conscious alternatives to pads and tampons.

A Bloody UAL Think Tank with ArtsSU

In Seminar Room D113, at Central Saint Martins, Kings Cross N1C 4AA

Arts SU will also be running a Think Tank event on this day to explore economic, social and practical ways to providing free sanitary items to all UAL students with an aim to reach a real viable solution!
