Postgraduate study with UAL

At UAL, you can choose from a broad range of master’s courses designed to help you advance your creative and professional skills.

You can deepen your creative practice in areas such as fine art, graphic design, fashion, photography, performance, film and media or illustration.

UAL also offers specialised programmes in creative business and design fields such as music management, communication and branding, as well as industry-focused courses covering areas like cosmetics, UX design and architecture.

UAL postgraduate students can apply to live in one of our halls, or in a privately rented property. Whatever you decide, our Accommodation Services team is there to support you throughout your time at UAL.

We want you to feel confident throughout the application process, from choosing a course all the way through to applying on the course webpage. We've put together a guide to applying for a postgraduate course that gives more advice on what you need to think about.

As well as outlining what you can expect to learn during your time with us, each course page will tell you the fees for that course, the entry requirements and the documents you'll need for your initial application.

We have 2 rounds of application deadlines for courses starting in September 2026:

• Round 1: Tuesday 2 December 2025, 1pm (UK time)
• Round 2: Wednesday 18 March 2026, 1pm (UK time)

After the round 2 deadline, courses will remain open to applications until they're full. We recommend you submit your application as early as possible.

Once you’ve submitted your application and we’ve reviewed it, you may be asked to submit more information, such as a portfolio or video task .You may also be invited to attend an interview.
