Sunsolve x LCF 2023 Student Award
Eligibility
To be eligible for The Sunsolve x LCF 2023 Student Award students must be:
- Enrolled on the full-time MSc Cosmetic Science course at London College of Fashion, UAL from September 2023 and;
- Progressing from the third year of the BSc Cosmetic Science course in 2022-2023 to postgraduate MSc Cosmetic Science course in 2023-2024 and;
- Be able to demonstrate their passion for Cosmetic Science, their potential towards the business side of the Cosmetics Industry and be open to being mentored by the sponsor Sunsolve and its PR agency Red Tree Consultancy.
About
Rooted in science and backed by emergent technologies, Sunsolve MD is medical-grade skincare bringing intelligent and efficient solutions into mineral spf to protect and optimise skin health.
The brand purpose is to increase the penetration of consumers who use SPF every day to minimise the damage that UVA/UVB causes. The USPs of the brand include inclusivity, research and innovation, sustainability and social purpose, founder story, all underpinned by education and research both for the brand itself and its consumers.
Sunsolve MD is determined to encourage education and opportunity within the beauty industry and will be providing funding to a final year student in MSc in Cosmetics Science London College of Fashion, UAL.
Sunsolve MD is on a journey to build an inclusive community and a more sustainable future and is determined to achieve this by offering a reef-safe, Non Nano, Zinc-based formula and a free recycling programme.
The scholarship will be assessed on the basis of financial need and academic merit. It will provide a contribution of £15,000 towards living expenses and course costs.
This award is designed to aid student progression and enable them to undertake a final postgraduate year.
Applications are welcome from those who are in financial hardship and those who will benefit from postgraduate studies to realise their full potential.

Applications for this scholarship must be made by filling in an online application form. More information is provided in the guidance notes:
Closing date: Sunday 11 June 2023.
The panel will be scheduled for 23 June 2023. The date will be communicated to shortlisted students.
Receiving payment
The scholarships will provide a contribution towards living expenses and course costs.
Payments will be paid via BACS in termly instalments to the award recipients two weeks after the start of each term based on progression and enrolment status.
