Mona Hatoum Foundation Bursaries

Eligibility

To be eligible for the Mona Hatoum Foundation Bursaries, students must be:

• Enrolled on the first year of the full-time MA Fine Art course at Central Saint Martins, University of The Arts London, starting in September 2026.

About

Established by distinguished Byam Shaw Alumna Mona Hatoum, The Mona Hatoum Foundation Bursaries were first introduced in 2015 to support financially disadvantaged postgraduate students on the MA Fine Art course at Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London.

The scholarship will be assessed on the basis of financial need and academic merit. It will provide a contribution towards course fees and/or living costs.

Applications are welcome from those who are in financial hardship and those who will benefit from postgraduate studies to realise their full potential.

Receiving payment

The bursary will provide a contribution towards material costs and living expenses.

• Maintenance payments will be paid via BACS in termly instalments to the award recipients two weeks after the start of each term based on progression and enrolment status.
• Applicants must enrol on the course in the same academic year for which they have applied for funding. Failure to do so will result in either:
  • the application being rejected, or
  • the award being withdrawn.
