Brien Family Scholarship
Eligibility
To be eligible for the Brien Family Scholarship students must be:
- Enrolled in the second year of full-time BA Games Design or BA Advertising course at Central Saint Martins, UAL in September 2025
- Progressing to the final year of study on the full-time BA Games Design or BA Advertising course at Central Saint Martins in September 2026
About
Nick Brien has over 40 years of global experience across advertising, media and marketing services. He entered the gaming industry for the first time in March 2023 as the CEO of Enthusiast Gaming where he served until January 2024. Nick also graduated from the College of Distributive Trades (now London College of Communication) in 1982.
Prior to joining Enthusiast Gaming, Nick Brien was the CEO of Amobee, a leading ad-tech company, a role he held between 2021 and 2022. Between 2017 and 2019, he was the Americas CEO of Dentsu International, one of the largest global marketing and advertising agency networks in the world, serving some of the world’s biggest companies, such as Microsoft, Intel, General Motors, Anheuser-Busch, P&G, and American Express.
Nick Brien is passionate about nurturing young, creative talent within the gaming and advertising industries and launched the Nick Brien scholarships for BA Advertising and BA Games Design at LCC in 2024.
The scholarship will be assessed on the basis of financial need and academic merit. It will provide a contribution to course costs and living expenses for the final year of the course.
Applications are particularly welcome from students who are in financial hardship and will benefit from undergraduate studies to realise their full potential.

Applications for this scholarship must be made by filling in an online application form. More information provided in the guidance notes:
Closing date: 11pm (UK Time) Sunday, 31 May 2026.
Panel interview will be scheduled for June or July 2026. Details will be communicated to shortlisted students.
Receiving payment
The scholarship will provide a contribution of £5,000 towards course costs and living expenses for the final year of the course.
Living expenses and course cost payments will be paid in termly instalments to the award recipients from the start of the 2026-2027 academic year via BACS.
Only students who have progressed to year 2 for September 2026 will receive scholarship payments.
