University Hardship Fund
The University Hardship Fund is available to students with Home fee status, on any undergraduate or postgraduate course in 2018/19.
Students with Home fee status and who are on any undergraduate or postgraduate course can apply, but you should check the detailed eligibility requirements on the application form.
All undergraduate students will need to have a student finance assessment of household income that is below £42,000 to be eligible for a payment from this fund.
Students who are a priority for assessment, include those:
- With caring responsibilities
- Who are care leavers and those who have been resident in Foyers
- With disabilities and chronic medical conditions
- Who are estranged from family
- With significant debts
- Who have become homeless.
The University Hardship Fund is a means-tested hardship grant to assist with study costs. It is not a loan and does not need to be repaid.
Applications are assessed throughout the year. Applicants will receive the result by email, within 20 working days of us receiving their fully completed application form and supporting documents.
Further information to be provided after confirmation of funding.
