Sir Frank Bowling Scholarships

The Sir Frank Bowling Scholarships of £12,280 each are available to 2 Home students accepted on the MA Fine Art course at Chelsea College of Arts, University of the Arts London.

Eligibility

To be eligible for The Sir Frank Bowling Scholarships, students must be:

  • Considered a Home student for tuition fees purposes and
  • Accepted on the full-time MA Fine Art course at Chelsea College of Arts, starting September 2021.

About

The Scholarships were established by artist Sir Frank Bowling OBE RA to support Fine Art postgraduate students at Chelsea College of Arts.

In addition to being an alumnus of Chelsea College of Arts, Sir Frank is also a former staff member of Byam Shaw School of Art (now part of Central Saint Martins) and Camberwell College of Arts.

The scholarship will be assessed on the basis of financial need and academic merit. It will provide a contribution towards course tuition fees for the duration of the course.

Applications for this scholarship must be made by filling in an online application form. More information is provided in the guidance notes:

Closing date: Friday 20 August 2021

The panel will be scheduled for September 2021. The date will be communicated to shortlisted students.

Receiving payment

Tuition fees will be paid directly from the award into the University’s tuition fees account.
