Find key information to help you get started and settle into life at London College of Fashion (LCF), from accessing essential systems and study support to staying informed and finding your way around our East Bank campus.
Getting started with your studies
Find the essential information and online services you’ll need as an LCF student, from enrolling and collecting your Student ID card to accessing Moodle and booking College resources.
Moodle
Moodle is the online home for your studies, with information, activities and communications relating to your course. You can use Moodle to upload assignments, receive grades, interact with your coursemates and get updates about your course.
Enrolment
At the start of each academic year, you’ll need to register on your course by enrolling through the UAL Portal.
Student ID cards
Your Student ID card gives you access to UAL Colleges and facilities. You can also use it to borrow books and other resources from UAL libraries.
Once you’ve completed the online registration stage of enrolment, we’ll email you with instructions on how to collect your Student ID card.
Online Resource Booking (ORB)
Use your UAL login details to access the Online Resource Booking (ORB) system, where you can reserve equipment and book inductions, workshops and workspaces.
You can only book resources at your own College.
Getting help and support at LCF
There’s a range of support available throughout your time at LCF, whether you need help with your studies, your wellbeing or practical matters such as funding, visas and immigration.
Student Services
Access free and confidential support and advice on funding, immigration and visas, health and mental health, disability and dyslexia. You can also speak to a counsellor or chaplain.
Academic Support
LCF’s Academic Support team can help you develop your academic and learning skills through group workshops, seminars and one-to-one tutorials. Get support to build your confidence in areas such as learning, research and becoming a more independent learner.

Access online tutorials, workshops and learning resources from UAL’s Academic Support teams.
Health and safety at East Bank

Bike storage and e-bikes
You can store your bike in the Cycle Store on the lower ground floor at East Bank.
E-bikes and e-scooters are not permitted on campus. E-bikes must be stored in designated external storage areas and must not be brought into UAL buildings, including internal bike storage facilities. Charging e-bike batteries is also prohibited inside the building.
Smoking and vaping
Smoking and vaping are not permitted in UAL buildings or grounds, including around entrances. This also applies to student bars, commercial areas and shared spaces such as kitchens, corridors, terraces and lounges.

Get Ready
Get Ready is an online learning programme run by the Academic Support team for new undergraduate students joining UAL.
LCF’s programme runs from 15 to 17 September, with activities on 16 and 17 September open to all undergraduate and postgraduate students. Craft and create, explore LCF’s Archives, and take part in talks and networking events.
