Freelance Week
Freelance Week is a new online event hosted by Careers and Employability. It’s perfect if you're starting to consider freelancing as a career option or are interested in further developing your freelance portfolio and career. Get advice directly from industry experts and skilled freelancers on their experiences and resources to support your freelance journey.
The programme
Taking place from 13-17 June 2022, Freelance Week will cover a range of key topics, including:
- Freelance to founder (Online)
- How to showcase your freelance work on your CV (Online)
- How to freelance in the UK for international students (In-Person)
- How to market yourself as a Freelancer (Online)
- Design your dream work-life (In-Person)
- Future for freelancers panel event (In-Person).
As well as in-person and online freelance career discussion one-to-ones.
Who can attend?
Freelance Week is open to students and graduates from all UAL Colleges and events will take place online.

Géraldine works closely with clients from the design, cultural and commercial sector on a variety of projects such as visual identities, typefaces, exhibition design, art-direction, books, signage, website and campaigns.

A graduate of CSM, Helena runs a design consultancy that specialises in branding for healthcare companies. She has worked with high-profile agencies including Pentagram, Wolff Olins and Mother.

Born in Singapore and based in London, Hidhir is a photographer and LCF graduate, whose work has been featured in Dazed Magazine, The Face Magazine, It's Nice That and VICE UK.

Phoebe is the founder of content strategy consultancy Buro155. Over 800 entrepreneurs have taken Phoebe’s workshops, and she’s spoken at General Assembly and the British Embassy in The Hague.
