Varsity is the biggest sporting event in the calendar at UAL. Every year, our Arts SU sports teams compete against rival Goldsmiths' teams, with the winner taking home the Arts Cup Trophy.

How did we do?

The Arts SU teams ensured the trophy would be spending 2025 with UAL, with their 6th Varsity win in the last 7 years and winning 7 out of the 9 games taking place.

On a clear, blue-sky day, hundreds of students from both universities competed and there was a fantastic turnout of support. Sadly the 2 basketball games had to be rescheduled and will take place in coming weeks, but we can rest easy knowing the final outcome won’t be changing. The Arts SU Pole Dance club performed a brilliant showcase to top off a day of activity and friendly competition.

Let’s hope we continue our winning streak at next year’s Varsity in March 2026.
