To celebrate Pride Month, we are sharing events round London offering entertainment, empowerment and education.

Saturday 3 June 

Queer Poetry Circle - London LGBTQ+ Community Centre

An evening of poetry appreciation and writing for LGBTQ+ people.

Thursday 8 June

Dragging The Archive: Queens, Kings... and Things - Bishopsgate Institute

A Performative Lecture will drag the audience through screenings of The Plastic Drag series, live performances and a discussion about creating and caring for the queer archive.

Queer Tour of the City of London - Bishopsgate Institute

The City of London is like no other. It has over two thousand years of history, a global financial centre, and if you dig down far enough, you'll stumble across a Roman phallus amulet or two.

Friday 9 - Sunday 11 June

Queer Market - Behind Queer Britain

10 fantastic queer vendors will be selling their original artwork, jewellery, ceramics, coffee and all-around wonderful goods.

Saturday 10 June

Queer and Now - Tate Britain

Featuring a compelling cast of artists, cultural producers, and thinkers, queerness will be at the heart of the gallery.

This year's programme will surface urgent queer conversations visible in Tate Britain's brand-new collection displays.

An evening for young LGBTQ+ professionals to meet over drinks.

Friday 16 June 

LGBTQ+ evening - Orford House

An evening of drinking and dancing, and maybe some singing too! Allies welcome.

Saturday 24 June 

Queer Migrant Pride Fest - St Margaret’s House

Celebrate Refugee Week and Pride Month with a free daytime festival of well-being, workshops, activities, talks, screenings and performances to foster a world without borders.

Monday 26 June

Soho Queer Open Mic - Village Bar

This event will take place Village Bar's Basement Live Performance space, with drag performers, musicians, spoken word artists, actors, dancers all performing.

Saturday 1 July

Pride in London Parade

The UK’s biggest, most diverse Pride. A home for every part of London’s LGBTQ+ community. The UAL LGBTQ+ staff network will be attending and you are welcome to join. Email Carley Owen, c.owen@arts.ac.uk

Trans+ Pride

London Trans+ Pride is a response to the injustices that trans+ people face daily, all over the world. The UAL LGBTQ+ staff network will be attending and you are welcome to join. Email Carley Owen, c.owen@arts.ac.uk. They will be meeting at 1pm outside Halfway to Heaven, Duncannon Street.

Sunday 20 August  

UK Black Pride - Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park

The world’s largest celebration for African, Asian, Middle Eastern, Latin American and Carribean- heritage LGBTQI+ people. The UAL LGBTQ+ staff network will be attending and you are welcome to join. Email Carley Owen, c.owen@arts.ac.uk

Saturday 1 July

Our LGBTQ+ staff network have secured a float (vehicle) for the parade. There are spaces on the float and walking spaces in the parade for any UAL staff and students who want to celebrate with us. The day will begin with a brunch before the parade begins. If you want to join the brunch only, email c.owen@arts.ac.uk.
