The CSM Changemakers are a group of students employed to work in partnership with programme and course teams at the College. This partnership recognises that both staff and students bring different but equally valuable perspectives, ideas, experiences and expertise to a project.

The Changemakers are invited to co-develop curricula and teaching practices in line with the College and University’s commitment to social justice, including anti-racism, climate justice and ethics. There are 9 Changemaker roles at Central Saint Martins, one for each of our programmes. Examples of their projects included a campaign to provide free period products throughout campus, panel discussions about climate research in programmes, and platforms for student voices and feedback.

Read their publication

The Changemakers produce a publication at the end of each year which outlines their projects and initiatives, and you can now read the 2021/22 publication online (PDF 1.7MB). The publication was designed by Changemaker Leonidas Liolios with support from the CSM Publications workshop. It is now on display on the second floor of the Central Saint Martins Library until the end of October 2022, with zine versions available to collect for free.
