As part of Black History Month in October, UAL and our hospitality provider BaxterStorey will serve dishes across UAL canteens to help us celebrate and learn about Black culture, through food. The best part? We want you to help us!

We are looking for students within the Black community to share with us their favourite African and Caribbean meals so that we may re-create and serve them to the UAL community throughout the month. Whether you have an old family recipe or a national dish to share, please complete the Black History Month Menu form and you might just see your dish on our menus.

Successful entries will have the opportunity to meet with UAL’s Executive Chef to work out the recipe and ensure our catering staff make it authentic and tasty.

Please note that the deadline to submit is Friday 22 September.

We will share more details around the dishes and their origin later in the month so stay tuned.

More information on what else we have planned for Black History Month will be shared in the run up to the Month and we’re looking forward to seeing what takes place across UAL.
