A new exhibition of items from STOLL Collections is on display at LCF Library. The display features garments, footwear, and accessories from their technical and fashion trend collections, along with knit panels and booklets.
STOLL is a leader in flat-knitting machine technology. Their machines can create complex and difficult shapes, high or low lot sizes and individual, custom designed products. For the fashion and textile industry, STOLL links up manufacturing technology and design by presenting trend collections every year. Their design and development database comprises over 1,000 patterns.
The display includes some items from Materialization, one of STOLL’s recent trend collections which focuses on waste by using unconventional and recycled materials such as plastic bags, silver foil, jute, and other packaging materials.
Other trend collections featured in this display include Skateboarding, Digital Knits, Wonderful, Woven Stiches and STOLL Capsule Collection ITMA.
The exhibition, in the first-floor main foyer at John Prince Street, will be on display until Friday 18 March. You are welcome to explore the objects and learn more about STOLL manufacturing process, from their development stage until their final products.
All the objects have been generously donated by STOLL and form part of the LCF and CSM Materials and Products Collection.
