Yu Feng

Biography

Yu Feng is an educator, illustrator and PhD researcher at the London College of Communication, University of the Arts London. Her practice-based research project is titled Bridging Transitions: Co-creating Comics with Chinese Immigrant Families in London through Intergenerational Dialogue, Heritage, and Identity. This research grounded in her position as a practitioner-researcher and Chinese immigrant mother, the project examines how shared visual storytelling enables parents and children to negotiate migration memory, belonging, and cultural inheritance through responsive, sequential image-making. Comics are approached as both a participatory process that generates dialogue and as material artefacts that carry family memory and shared meaning.
