Veron Lai

Biography

Veron is a Senior Lecturer in Service Design at London College of Communication, University of the Arts London, bringing over 20 years of professional practice to her teaching and research. Her expertise spans service design, design leadership, and product innovation, with a particular focus on the evolving dynamics of collaborative and multidisciplinary design work.

Prior to joining LCC, Veron held senior leadership roles at two high-growth technology companies: Elvie, a femtech innovator twice nominated for the Times Innovation of the Year, and Accurx, a healthcare communication platform now adopted by 98% of primary care providers across the UK. She has also worked extensively as an independent design consultant, partnering with organisations including John Lewis Partnership, NHS Digital, Barnardo's, and the British Museum.
