Dr Sofia Mali

Biography

Dr Sofia Mali is an experienced lecturer and researcher with a wide variety of teaching and assessment experience in visual culture theory and history modules at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

She is a Senior Lecturer in Contextual and Theoretical studies at the University of The Arts London (UAL).
She was previously a Senior Lecturer in Cultural Theory at Buckinghamshire New University (BNU), and has also worked as a Lecturer at the Universities of Loughborough, Nottingham, Derby, Southampton Solent, UAL-LCF and CSM, Middlesex.
She has experience in:
-Course and curriculum development.
-Critical, Contextual and Historical studies modules; Dissertation modules across a range of UG and PGT Art and Design Courses: leadership, teaching/supervision/assessment.
-PGR interviewing and supervision.
-Course Leadership (MA level): overseeing teaching and supervisory teams, liaising between the School of Art and Design, academic and administrative departments, and University level boards and Committees.
