Dr Nicola Plant

Biography

Nicola Plant is an artist, researcher, and lecturer at the Creative Computing Institute, University of the Arts London. She makes interactive installations and XR artworks that explore embodiment, intersubjectivity, and empathy in 3D digital spaces. Working with real-time immersive graphics, motion capture, and movement-based interactivity, her work questions and reimagines how we experience our own embodiment and a connection to others through technology. Nicola holds a PhD in Media and Arts Technology from Queen Mary University of London and her work has been shown internationally, including at the Barbican Centre and the V&A Museum.
