Biography
Michelle is currently a Curriculum Leader for the Level 3 International Introduction to the Study of Design, Media and Screen at UAL's School of Pre-Degree Studies in Lime Grove. She previously held the Studio Lead role for Level 4 for three years as Lecturer and served as interim Course Leader for Level 4 CertHE Preparation for Design, Media and Screen in 2022/23. Before joining UAL, she spent 13 years as a Photography Tutor in the Further Education sector at Farnborough Sixth Form College, teaching A-Level Photography.Michelle holds an MA (2026) and PgCert (2024) in Academic Practice in Art, Design and Communication from UAL, is a Fellow of the HEA, and holds undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in Photography, Art & Design and Media. Her personal practice in photography has led to international exhibitions in the UK, Taiwan and Thailand. She has recently led the Growing Concerns exhibition series, part participatory action research projects in which international Level 3 students co-created climate, care and identity narratives through art-making. The next exhibition will follow at the end of 2026.
