Biography
Originally a History graduate from UCL, I graduated with a PGDip in Animation from Central Saint Martins in 2011 and worked within the animation industry in various roles and productions including Channel 4’s The Snowman and the Snowdog, CBeebies Hey Duggee! and the Royal Opera House. In 2024, I completed my PhD titled 'A Study of the British Animation Industry’s approach to Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion 2000-2020' under the supervision of Professor Chris Pallant from Canterbury Christ Church. I am also a member of the Screen School Industry Advisory Board that has been set up to enable a more strategic long term conversation with a number of key industry colleagues, bringing currency and insight into the School’s course/portfolio development. Finally, I am also a part of the Governing Body of the Global Academy with whom UAL is an Educational Partner.I am currently the Diploma in Professional Studies Coordinator (DPS) for Screen School. The DPS course allows students to take a year in industry between their second and third year. We also coordinate a series of Live Briefs throughout the year with industry partners, allowing all students to have an industry level experience. We support students through industry readiness, inviting industry speakers, and visiting industry.
