Biography
Luke Demarest is a visual artist and researcher. His practice explores generative printmaking, complex systems modelling, and experimental audiovisual interface design. He teaches at Chelsea College of Arts.Luke was an Artist in Residence at the Victoria & Albert Museum and a Research Fellow in Complex Systems Modelling and Information Design at University College London. He previously taught at Central Saint Martins and the School for Poetic Computation.
Luke has also worked as a creative technologist on projects for the UK Economic and Social Research Council, the Knight Foundation, the Embodied AudioVisual Interaction Group, Tesco, and Rosetta Stone. He also worked as a studio assistant in experimental painting at the Mountain Lake Workshop contributing to interdisciplinary projects with visual artists, choreographers, and composers for the John Cage Centennial festival.
