Karen Tang

Biography

Artist Karen Tang works with sculpture and art-science methods, exhibiting widely in galleries and public spaces. She is a Senior Lecturer in Fine Art at UAL Foundation and a PhD candidate with the Living Systems Lab Research Group at CSM. Karen’s practice-based research investigates the potential of cyanobacteria (photosynthesising microorganisms) for sculptural practice, and how sculpture can expand perceptions of cyanobacteria.
