Kanaka Raghavan

Biography

I'm a designer, educator, and researcher interested in pushing the limits of traditional
design and exploring new ways to engage with the discipline. Currently, I teach as a
Senior Lecturer and serve as the Campus Programme Coordinator for the undergraduate
graphic design programme at Middlesex University in Dubai.

My academic journey includes obtaining an M.Sc. in Advanced Design and Digital
Architecture (ADDA) from ELISAVA in Barcelona, Spain, followed by executive courses in
typography and editorial design at the Royal College of Art in London. I am currently
enrolled in the Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education (PGCert HE) at Middlesex
University Dubai.

Before stepping into academia, I worked in architecture and freelanced as a graphic
designer, managing projects in India, Barcelona, and Dubai. Through my teaching and
design work, I aim to initiate meaningful conversations, challenge established norms,
and hopefully make a lasting impact.
