Jon Gillick

Biography

Dr. Jon Gillick has been a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Creative Computing Institute since 2022, working on the "Transforming Collections" and "MusAI" research projects. Jon holds a BA in computer science from Wesleyan University and a PhD in Information Science from UC Berkeley.

His work at CCI includes:



- Leading a team of researchers and engineers building interactive machine learning prototypes to allow end-users to quickly train their own models.
- Advising and collaborating with a cohort of artist residents on commissions for the Tate Modern Museum related to the theme of machine learning.
- Designing and leading workshops for industry professionals as well as students to engage with real-world uses and impacts of AI.
