Izzy Barszcz

Biography

Izzy Barszcz is a Senior Lecturer at the University of the Arts London and an award-winning animation director whose work integrates practice-based research with experimental storytelling. Her projects, including the animated series Just Flo, explore socially engaged narratives - from urban dating to gender equality -through multi-vocal stories, visual abstraction, and collaborative methods. Her films Remember the Future and The Many Faces of Ava have received international festival recognition. With over nine years in higher education, she teaches BA and MA Animation, focusing on experimental animation, visual narrative, and practice-led research methodologies. She holds an MA in Directing Animation (NFTS) and a PGCert in Higher Education.
