Biography

I am a design academic with experience of developing internationally renowned fashion brands and instigating influential curricula at the top universities of art and design. I am able to demonstrate an exemplary level of scholarly and professional accomplishment within fashion design and command a high level of goodwill from industry and academia that affords visibility and endorsement.





Core strengths are the ability to inspire exceptional results, to identify and express motivational research, ideas generation, translating between the 2 and 3D, manufacture, illustration, presentation, communication and contextualisation. Encouragement, clear supportive feedback and a level of challenge, trust, humour, repetition and also knowing when to stand back are methods I apply. Ultimately, I seek to understand how individuals can be enabled to evolve, embrace success, deal with frustration and to gain clarity on their potential. Broadly speaking, this leads to an ability to question and a deepening sense of criticality and responsibility, which is essential to the development of inspirational entrepreneurship, which I view as a long - term benefit of learning. Likewise, I believe that effective leadership is based on a willingness to be in the position of learner and to evolve my own thinking, ideas and methods.
