Gintare Jankuniene

Biography

Gintare Jankuniene is a fashion academic, researcher and practitioner specializing in curriculum development and leadership, sustainable design pedagogy and pattern innovation. She currently works at London College of Fashion and is External Examiner for the BA (Hons) Fashion Design at the University of the Creative Arts. She has eight years of industry experience as a designer and over 21 years of academic experience across major UK institutions (Central Saint Martins, University of Westminster, University of East London, University of West London, London South Bank University). Gintare holds an MSc (Hons) in Applied Psychology in Fashion (London College of Fashion, UAL), a PGCE (University of Greenwich), Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA), and a First Class BA (Hons) Fashion Studies (Design Realisation). She completed advanced foundational and technical studies in Design Technology and Graphic Design in Lithuania. Her work and achievements in sustainability have been recognised by the High Commission of India and featured in British and Indian Vogue. Colleagues describe her as organised, deadline-driven, detail-oriented, collaborative and proactive.
