Biography

Geoff is an illustrator, comic-artist and maker. Also of course, an educator.
An eclectic creator, Sooner or later everything comes back to history,
myth and folklore for. This was so much the case that he and
Aidan Saunders started the Golden Thread Project.
Aiming to show that folksong and lore is a vital, colourful, source of
inspiration. the Golden Thread Project works with artists, writers and
musicians to show that every generation can discover folklore and
myth anew as a way to connect to the past and understand the
universality of human experience.
So far they have collaborated with The English Folk Dance and Song Society,
Kendal International Comics Festival, University of Worcester, Printhaus Cardiff, Leigh Folk Festival,
Peckham Pelican, Musicians Lisa Knapp and Sharron Krause,
In 2020 they teamed up with Hart Club London, an organisation that
champions neurodiversity in the Arts.
Together they created Folk Beasts! Aimed to help vulnerable people
tackling isolation during the pandemic, offering creative stimulus
and inspiration via 17 risograph printed activity packs with the help
of 17 illustrious artists.
