Gary Wallis

Biography

I am the Practices Tutor for Lens on the BA (Hons) Graphic Communication Design Programme, a role that examines both the practice and theory of photography and moving image. My Lens background is primarily in photography with some use of moving image focusing primarily on people: commercially in portraiture and fashion. My personal work explores varied and diverse themes.

My teaching aims to draw out diverse and interesting narratives and themes communicated through the lens medium, it is informed by a passionate interest in photography, over two decades experience working in the commercial world as ‘part time’ professional photographer working alongside my fractional post at CSM.
